Come And See
Well, it’s nearly time for us to head out!
We leave tomorrow for our week long trip. We’re excited to go back for the first time in three years and see what the Lord has in store. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come without a somewhat dreary tone. The flurry of snow Florida received earlier last week, traveled across the Atlantic and wreaked havoc in the UK and Ireland. Heavy rains and winds up to 114mph swept through! Hundreds of thousands of people have been without power or water the last few days and the destruction is heavy. So to say we’re leaving on a bittersweet note feels like the only word to use. If you could be praying for all the people being affected, they greatly need it. It feels futile to ask for prayer for safe travels or for sustaining energy during our week of meetings when so many are in greater need… Now that the storm has passed, we’re praying that the needs of the people are met, resources don’t run dry, and they can begin to move forward from the damage.
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”
We aren’t sure how the aftermath of the storm will affect this next week but we know it’s just another opportunity to have open hands, aligned hearts and deeper faith in what the Lord has for us. We know we can have complete confidence in the Lord. Our prayers still remain the same. We continue to pray for discernment and wisdom during this week, clarity and foundational growth in relationships, job security for our family and overall, a productive and insightful trip. It will be a whirlwind of a week and a lot to sift through but we can’t wait to report back! Until next time!
